MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A summer shootout between two people leaves an innocent bystander injured on Milwaukee's south side. Detectives need your help finding a man caught on video running away from the scene.
It was June 22 of 2023, around 6 p.m.
Take a look at this man -- these are surveillance pictures from Southside Beer and Liquor on the corner of W. Windlake and S. 15th Street.
Milwaukee police say this is the suspect right before he exited the store and got into a shootout with someone. We're talking about the guy in the white shirt who police say has a gun in his hand while running away.
Meanwhile, what you can't see, is the innocent bystander who got shot in the hip during the shootout. They're okay, but detectives say they need your help to get this suspect off the street.
"If you know this guy, because he is in the neighborhood, he's going to the local corner store, if you know who this guy is, just reach out," said Milwaukee Police Detective Dennis McKnight.
If you know anything about this shooting, call Milwaukee Crime Stoppers at 414-224-8477. Your call is always anonymous and so is using the P3 tips app to send in a tip.
If your tip leads to an arrest, you get a cash reward.
