The month of April is in the record books! Overall, April saw some decent rainfall, even snow to start the month, and mostly warm temperatures. The warmest temperature for the month happened this past weekend on Saturday when we hit 80 degrees. The coldest temp was just a few days before that when we went below freezing. But the average temperature for April of 49.6 goes down as the eight warmest on record.

We had good rain during the month of April but it's one of the wettest months of the year on average and officially ended the month 0.06" below average with total rainfall of 3.80". We did get more than last April which was when the water shut off a bit in 2023 leading to drought conditions. Thankfully that hasn't happened this year.

April did start out with a little snow but overall the month ended below average with 0.6" of snowfall below the average of 2.1".

The month of May doesn't average any snow but we have had snow before. The latest we've ever seen measurable snow is May 11, 1966 but many remember the big May snowstorm of May 10, 1990. May also averages good rain with over 3.50" and the average highs go from the low 60s to low 70s and the lows rise from the low 40s to the low 50s.
