Clouds have keep temps on the cooler side today, but they'll gradually dissipate tonight into early Sunday morning.
The clearing sky plus a lighter wind will allow temps to drop below freezing away from the lake. A Freeze Warning has been issued for all inland counties through 8am Sunday.
Lakeside low temperatures will drop into the mid 30s, so a light frost is possible in lake counties. No matter where you live in southern WI, cover up or bring in your plants tonight if you planted last weekend when it was sunny and mild!
The average last freeze window is just starting in lakeside and southern counties, while the last freeze for inland counties usually doesn't occur until early May.
This won't be our last chance at a frost or freeze this week either. The rule of thumb for outdoor planting is Mother's Day at the earliest and Memorial Day to be safe.
Temps do warm up for a few days with highs in the upper 50s to mid 60s through Tuesday, but cooler temps do return during the middle of the week.
Showers will return Monday night through Tuesday. Download the CBS 58 Ready Weather App to see the full 7 day forecast.
