MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Public Museum is getting another financial boost for its future home.
The late Herb Kohl's philanthropic foundation will donate $2 million for the new museum.
Part of that money will be used to create the "Herb Kohl Education Fund," which will provide Wisconsin teachers with free memberships to the new museum for its first three years.
The new museum complex in planned for 6th and McKinley, near Fiserv Forum.
Groundbreaking is set for May and while fundraising continues for the $240-million project, the plan is to open the new museum in 2027.
