Schlesinger’s Saturday Showcase (5/4)...Big party-theme weekend
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- With springtime fully engulfing Milwaukee, more and more events are popping up around the area. To preview a selection of some of the upcoming weekend's highlights, Ian Thompson from VISIT Milwaukee joined us on Thursday, April 18.
The Springs Water Park at The Ingleside Hotel in Pewaukee has scheduled Special Needs Swim Time for children and adults. The events will take place on Sunday, April 21 and Sunday, April 28 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. featuring a reduced rate of $8.50 per attendee for those with special needs and up to four companions.
Urban Harvest Brewing is set to host Black Puppy Days, a fundraiser benefiting the Wisconsin Humane Society, on Sunday. The brewery will introduce Ruby - Imperial Blood Orange Wheat, with a portion of proceeds from select beverage sales directed to support WHS.
The Milwaukee Admirals will compete against the Rockford IceHogs at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena on Saturday at 6 p.m.
"La Bohème" will be staged at Uihlein Hall at the Marcus Performing Arts Center on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The opera, now set in Milwaukee’s 1940s Bronzeville, offers a version of a classic romance in a local context.
