MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A late-night shooting left a Milwaukee father dead and his case is still unsolved.
Milwaukee police say on Oct. 13, 2020, a ShotSpotter call around 1 a.m., led them to N. 33 Street and W. Meinecke.
When they got there, police found 50-year-old Keith Sheilds dead outside of his car. The doors on both sides of the car were open.
Police believe the homicide was drug-related, and that someone was in the car with Sheilds but ran away. They're hoping that person, and anyone who knows anything, will come forward anonymously.
"Whatever the reason it is that led to his death, he is still no longer here. Like I said before he has a family, a mother, children and they're not involved with what he's involved in. So they deserve closure just like any other family does," said Detective Mike Washington, with the Milwaukee Police Department.
