It's been a fantastic end to the weekend with mostly sunny skies and temps in the 60s to low 70s across most of the area (Sorry Sheboygan and Ozaukee counties).
We'll remain warm and windy into this evening ahead of a slow moving cold front. A few showers and isolated storms will form along the front in Western WI late this afternoon. A couple decaying showers may reach portions of SE WI mid evening.
This front will stall across SE WI tonight into Monday morning before lifting northward as a warm front. This will help push temperatures back into the upper 50s and low 60s during the afternoon away from the lake.
While a few isolated showers may push through Dodge and Fond du Lac counties at times during the day Monday, a much better chance for widespread rain and storms moves in during the evening and overnight hours.
A few storms could be strong to borderline severe with damaging winds being the primary concern. Tornado threat is low, but not zero. Because of this, southern Wisconsin is currently under a level 1 of 5, Marginal Risk for severe storms on Monday.
Storms will bring a good, soaking rain across SE WI with .50-1" of rain expected. Locally higher totals are possible in storms. This will really help our fire danger!
Wind will be off the lake for the rest of the week behind this system, so get ready for temps in the low to mid 40s after Monday.
