Buy dry dog food for your pet instead of canned food.

We checked prices and found dry food ran about 50 cents cheaper per pound than canned food at area pet stores.

That means if you normally buy about 20 pounds of pet food each month, switching from canned food to dry kibble would save you about $115 a year.
