14-year-old snowmobiler dies in crash in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- On Saturday, February 10 around 6:40 p.m. the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office responded to a snowmobile crash on County Highway A in the town of Sumner.
A 14-year-old snowmobiler from Jefferson was driving on a snowmobile trail when he failed to negotiate a curve and went off the trail. Fellow riders and passerby snowmobilers assisted in life-saving measures until first responders arrived.
The boy died at the scene.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and Medical Examiner is investigating the death.
