15-year-old Pewaukee student arrested after allegedly making threat at school pep rally

PEWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 15-year-old student was arrested after allegedly making threatening comments Friday afternoon at a school pep rally. 

The Village of Pewaukee Police Department was notified late Sunday night of the comments by a Pewaukee High School parent.

Investigators from the police department notified school officials of the incident and proceeded to make contact with the suspect at his Pewaukee residence.

According to police interviews with students, the suspect told his friends at the pep rally to “wear different color clothes to school” on Monday or make sure they “stay at home” to avoid trouble.

The comments did not include a threat of any weapon.

The Village of Pewaukee Police Department interviewed the suspect and turned him over to his guardians.

The suspect has been referred to the Waukesha County District Attorney’s Office on Disorderly Conduct charges.

Pewaukee school officials have notified staff and parents of the situation. Classes remain in session for all Pewaukee School District students.
