4 people displaced by early morning fire in Milwaukee

A basement fire in a one-story house at N 55^th and W Congress Streets in Milwaukee did an estimate $74,400 in damage to the home and its contents early this morning.  Fortunately, no one was injured in the 2 AM fire.  According to Milwaukee Fire Department officials, the four residents of the home were able to get out of the building unharmed, but because of the damage to the home the residents have had to seek shelter elsewhere.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
