40s Have Returned and Will Stick Around

The messy weather of the past few days has come to an end and temperatures are starting to warm up. Although we've been mild the past week or so temperatures on Tuesday hit 40° exactly in the Milwaukee area but other spots weren't so lucky.

A week ago the average temperature for the month of January was still below-average but as of Tuesday the average temp is now above-average but just barely.

The outlook going forward through the end of the month of for temperatures to stay above normal. The Climate Prediction Center gives most of Wisconsin a 50% chance of above-average temperatures through the beginning of February.

That is a trend that is reflected in the Ready Weather forecast where it looks more and more likely that temperatures will hit 50° this weekend. The 40s should last about another week before 30s return for the last week of January. You can always see the full 10-day forecast by downloading the CBS 58 Ready Weather App.
