Admirals welcome over 8,000 kids for school day game

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) —The Admirals welcomed over 8,000 school kids and teachers for their game against the Chicago Wolves on Wednesday morning at 10:30 at Panther Arena in the first of two Baird School Day Games this season.

“We are thrilled to host so many kids for our first Baird School Game of the season,” said Admirals President Jon Greenberg. “This is great experience for these kids and teachers alike as they discover the intersection of hockey and so many of the subjects that they are currently studying. Of course it’s also a great opportunity to scream, yell, and have a great time.”

The age range will included students as young as kindergarten all the way through high school. Students in elementary and middle school will receive a workbook covering subjects like math, science, geography, and health as they pertain to hockey in general and the Admirals specifically. High school students will be given a private presentation before the game from team executives to learn about how the Admirals function from a business perspective, including promotions, ticket sales, and communications.
