Another round of rain on the way

Overall it was a gloomy weekend with only a little sunshine on Sunday morning. Temperatures also stayed cool with highs in the low 50s Saturday and low 60s Sunday.

Another round of rain is on the way starting Monday evening and lingering through Wednesday. Most of this activity will be scattered with light to moderate showers at times, but a few rumbles of thunder are possible especially Monday and Tuesday evenings.

Although no severe weather is expected a few thunderstorms could have some small hail. Tuesday looks like the best day for steady rain so grab the umbrella if you are going to be out and about.

Overall, this May has actually been a little below-average on rainfall. Including this weekend's rain we are at 1.63" for the month. Typically by this point in may we are at 2.23" so right now we stand at 0.60" below-average. Although there are plenty more rain chances through the last 10 days of the month, if the below-average numbers continue it will be the first month in 2017 to end drier than normal.
