Below average rainfall this month could get some relief this week

It has been a much different story the last three weeks and so far this month. Rainfall has been down almost 2.50”
below the average the last 23 days, and we have start the month over 1.25” below the norm. It feels like a distant memory when we had the heavy rainfall and flooding early on in July.

Guess what? There is relief in sight with a more active weather pattern this week. A slight chance of showers and storms will be possible today, especially later on this afternoon and tonight. Another round of showers and storms will fire up by Wednesday. Some of these storms could be stronger with some decent rains with any storms. It is several days out, but a third round could impact the area early this weekend.

That’s three chances of rain that the area does need. The temperatures will start to climb mid-week with more humidity as well. It appears summer isn’t over just yet.
