Meet CBS 58’s Pet of the Week: Joey
MILWAUKEE (CBS58) -- The Milwaukee Brewers are in San Diego ahead of their opening game at 3:10 p.m. against the San Diego Padres. The team released its 25-man roster but changes could still be possible.
The roster lists 11 pitchers including Matt Albers, Chase Anderson, Jacob Barnes, Jhoulys Chacin, Zach Davies, Oliver Drake, Josh Hader, Jeremy Jeffress, Corey Knebel, Brent Suter and Brandon Woodruff. Hader, Suter, and Woodruff are all making their first Major League Opening Day roster starts.
Jett Bandy and Manny Pina are the two catchers. There are four outfielders listed including Ryan Braun who was rumored to start as an infielder this season. Other outfielders include Ryan Braun, Lorenzo Cain, Domingo Santana and Christian Yelich.
The eight infielders on the roster include Jesus Aguilar, Orlando Arcia, Ji-Man Choi, Hernan Perez, Travis Shaw, Eric Sogard, Eric Thames, Jonathan Villar.
The Brewers will start with three players on the disabled list. Pitcher Boone Logan is out with a left triceps injury and pitcher Jimmy Nelson and catcher Stephen Vogt are out with right shoulder injuries.
