Brewers Triple-A baseball stadium receives renovations

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — Renovations of the Sky Sox ballpark in Colorado are underway, which lessens the chances of Colorado Springs' minor league team relocating.

The Gazette reported (http://bit.ly/2oc3hNG ) Wednesday that hundreds of light fixtures have been replaced and next up is a revamped scoreboard costing roughly $700,000.

The Sky Sox are a Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.

General Manager Tony Ensor says the Sky Sox are building for a long future in Colorado Springs.

According to the report, rumors of relocation to Texas sprouted in 2016 and a move to Kansas currently makes sense, but Ensor says the team has no plans to move.
