There’s a crispness in the air, and it’s not just the lower temperatures in Southeast Wisconsin. Local high school football teams are fighting for playoff spots and conference championships, on top of bragging rights. There were statements made tonight in the games featured on Friday Night Rivals!
Arrowhead 33, Waukesha West 15
Four different players had rushing touchdowns for Arrowhead (4-3), who continue their late season surge after starting the season with three straight losses. QB Nic Wohlfiel gave Arrowhead its first points of the game with a two-yard score in the second quarter, and then Wohlfiel found Robbie Symdon later in the quarter for a 19-yard score. Arrowhead led 13-0 at the half, and rolled from there thanks to 156 yards on the ground from Wohlfiel and 167 yards from Josh Nielsen. Sam Mikulak racked up 97 rushing yards and a touchdown for Waukesha West (5-2).
Lake Country Lutheran 50, Living Word Lutheran 7
Lake Country Lutheran (7-0) scored 22 points in the first quarter en route to a big win over Living Word Lutheran (5-2). Ethan Wilkins threw two touchdown passes for Lake Country Lutheran, while Dane Vance piled up 205 yards on the ground and two rushing scores.
