City of Whitewater opening new bark park

WHITEWATER, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The City of Whitewater has opened a new dog park near the corner of Jefferson Street and Starin Road.

Relocating dog parks is a top priority for Parks & Recreation Director Eric Boettcher since he arrived last year, “We are excited to announce the dog park is open. The new park will offer dog enthusiasts an upgraded facility for their pets to enjoy." said Boettcher.

The new park features a small/medium dog area and a larger space for all dogs. The park also supplies picnic tables, benches and garbage cans with the added bonus of Mutt Mitts for easy pick-up after your dog.

The park is open from dusk to dawn.

A special grand opening is scheduled for Wednesday, June 13 at 5 p.m. with events and giveaways.
