Coolest air of the summer!

Low pressure and cold front is slowly exiting the region. A significant change is expected in the forecast today with the coolest air of the season rolling in. Highs will stay in the 60s for most of southeastern Wisconsin because of the chilly storm system, clouds, and rain showers. The rain will not be heavy; just expect spotty chances of light rain throughout the day.  It's not unheard of to have highs below 70 degrees in summer! In fact, the last 5 years, Milwaukee has had at least one day featuring a high less than 70.

The weekend will bring back sunshine for Saturday and temperatures returning to the 70s. The next several days will stay below average though. Our next chance of rain returns by Saturday night and Sunday with a few thunderstorms possible. More rain is expected on Monday and also for the middle half of the week. By Wednesday, the temperatures finally start to rise back above average into the 80s.
