Curtis Ambulance delivers pies to local shelters

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Emergency crews with Curtis Ambulance found time to give back the day before Thanksgiving.

They delivered pies by ambulance to two local shelters, Saint Benedict Moore and the Milwaukee Rescue Mission.

Curtis Ambulance has been donating pies for 20 years and employees say this is just a simple way to give back.

“The homeless in Milwaukee are the people that don’t have a place to live or enough food are often having to use emergency services. So this is our way of reaching out and helping them have a better holiday,” says Jim Baker with Curtis Ambulance.

Curtis Ambulance also donated Thanksgiving food to families on Monday and around Christmastime, they will donate Christmas trees to churches. The churches will then give the trees to people in their congregations.
