Dogs evacuated from Hurricane Irma ready for adoption

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Several animals brought to Wisconsin from shelters in Florida to escape Hurricane Irma are ready for adoption. The Wisconsin Humane Society says three dogs and three cats were adopted yesterday. Two dogs and two cats are still available. A few other animals are being treated by the veterinary staff or are staying with foster families while they receive treatment for various medical conditions.

If you're interested in adopting one of the animals brought to our area from Florida, you can find them listed on the Wisconsin Humane Society's website. Animals that were transported from the area of the hurricane will be marked with an asterisks.
