Finally A Rain Surplus for September

The rain will continue to fall as we start October, and that's good news because for the year we are still 5.79" below normal.  We finally have some positive news in the rainfall department!  The month of September will end in a surplus.  This is only the second time in 2016 where we ended the month above normal.  March was the only other month!

Scattered showers will build back in for tonight and Saturday as an upper level area of low pressure hangs across the Great Lakes.  Some of the rain will be heavy at times, but no severe weather is expected.

The low finally moves east for Sunday, so expect a dry end to the weekend under a mostly cloudy sky.
