Free groceries await early bird shoppers Wednesday, May 10th

BROOKFIELD, WI -

Fresh Thyme Farmers Market is expanding and offering free groceries to get those first shoppers through the door.

On Wednesday, May 10th at 7 a.m., the specialty retailer focused of healthy and organic products and groceries, will open two new stores in Brookfield at17300 W Bluemound Road and Menomonee Falls atN89W16849 Appleton Avenue.

The first 250 shoppers, aged eighteen and older, in line at both stores on Wednesday morning will receive a free bag of groceries.  

The Brookfield store will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9 with prominent city officials. 

As part of the planned grand opening celebration, Fresh Thyme will have family-friendly activities, samplings and live music through Saturday at both locations. To kick off the celebration, there will be a Friends and Family event at the Brookfield store following the ribbon cutting on Tuesday, May 9 from 4p.m. to 7p.m. with food samples, live music and more.

Fresh Thyme is passionate about their connections to the local community, from stocking local products and produce to hiring local residents and partnering with non-profit efforts that benefit the residents.

To further express its commitment to the Brookfield community, Fresh Thyme will donate 100 percent of proceeds from their Boar's Head hot dog cart on Wednesday, May 10 and Saturday, May 13 between 12:00 and 3:00 p.m. to the Women's Center, an organization that provides safety, shelter, and support to women and their families affected by domestic violence, sexual assault and abuse.
