BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Brookfield Central clashed with Brookfield East Friday in a rivalry game that turned into a blowout.
East’s quarterback Sam McGath scored the game’s first touchdown when he ran it in for a score, and it would be the only points for the Spartans all night.
The very next drive, Lancers running back Rashad Lampkin burst through the line for a long touchdown run.
Then Central’s defense helped put the game away with two touchdowns on the defensive side of the ball.
First, Jack Cooney scooped up a fumble and rumbled all the way to the endzone. Then, Joey Cleary intercepted McGath and returned it for the score.
Central fans went home happy with the 31-7 victory.
