Gloomy weekend continues with more rain chances

Southeast Wisconsin has been through an unsettled and gloomy pattern the past few days and that trend looks to continue into a new work week.

A decaying storm system to our west Saturday night dropped over half an inch of rain locally. People in southwest Wisconsin had to be rescued from flooding rains and parts of southeast Minnesota saw over 5".

After a Top 10 wettest May in Milwaukee, June has also started soggy. So far 1.30" of rain has fallen which is fairly close to the average by date of 1.28". For the entire year we are about 2.50" above-average.

No significant heavy rain is expected the next few days with a few showers possible Tuesday, mainly in the afternoon. The chance for showers and storms by the end of the week is increasing.
