HAWS' first transport dogs from Texas adopted

WAUKESHA (CBS 58) – HAWS of Waukesha says the first of their hurricane transport dogs have been adopted.

Dogs Sunny and Boomer went home on Wednesday and the shelter says more dogs are scheduled to be adopted.

The dogs were already in shelters in the Houston area and were brought to Wisconsin to help make space for animals in need of emergency shelters after Hurricane Harvey.
