Man arrested for 6th OWI, five others arrested during weekend Drive Sober patrol in Milwaukee County

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 48-year-old Milwaukee man is arrested for his sixth OWI after the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office says he blew twice the legal limit.

The Sheriff's Office says a deputy saw the driver, identified as Robert Newhauser, going 70 in a 50 mph zone on westbound I-94 near 27th Street. The vehicle did not have license plates and the vehicle was stopped on Highway 175 at W. Wells Street.

The deputy said Newhauser performed poorly on field sobriety tests and tested 0.16 in a breathalyzer test. He was later arrested for his sixth OWI which is punishable by up to ten years in prison.

The Sheriff's Office says in addition to Newhauser, a 32-year-old Greenfield woman was arrested for her third OWI, and four others from Milwaukee were arrested for their first offense OWI.
