UPDATE (CBS 58) -- The victim is identified as Angel R. Castillo-Rivera.
The incident will be reviewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office once the investigation is complete.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 53-year-old Milwaukee man is dead after being struck by an MCTS bus early Sunday morning.
The accident happened near 35th and Wisconsin around 12:05 a.m. According to the Milwaukee Police, the man was in the road when he was hit by the bus.
He received serious injuries and later died. The driver of the bus remained on the scene of the accident and is cooperating with investigators.
"We have a safe track record. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the victim. We are providing all the support we can for this driver who is struggling with this as well. It's just a tough time," said Brendan Conway, Milwaukee County Transit System.
According to MCTS, the veteran driver made his last stop on the Goldline bus route near 35th and Wisconsin Avenue and started heading back to the station. The driver turned onto Wisconsin Avenue and hit the victim.
The driver has been put on leave. The identity of the 53 year-old victim has not yet been released.
