MATC West Allis campus placed on lockdown after bank robbery

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- West Allis Police responded to a bank robbery around 11:15 a.m. Friday at the BMO Bank on Greenfield Avenue. 

The suspect indicated he had a gun, but never actually displayed one.

After the robbery, the suspect fled north on 70th Street and MATC was put on lockdown while a search of the area was conducted. MATC says the lockdown lasted a little less than an hour until 12:13 p.m.

No suspect was found and no arrests have been made.

The suspect is described as a skinny black man in his 20s. He was wearing a gray Nike hoodie with jeans and black shoes and had a University of Wisconsin hat on.
