McDonald's employee facing charges after stealing over $12,000 from the company

Cynthia Williams, 35-years-old of Kenosha, has been arrested and is facing several charges after stealing from McDonald's while she was a manager at the location located at 2610 Green Bay Road.

According to the criminal complaint, a McDonald's business Administrator contacted the Racine Police Department on August 5th to report that Williams had stolen over $12,000 from the company. McDonald's was able to capture surveillance video of Williams placing cash into her pockets while preparing nightly deposits on several occasions. According to the company, there were additional incidents but the defendant had deleted the footage or moved cameras so that there would be no evidence of her actions.

Williams admitted to police that she took money from her employer while working as a manager at the store. She stated that she used the money to buy food and pay for motel lodging. 

Williams also told police that she took money by altering the business records.

Williams now faces charges of Fraudulent Writings by Corp. Officer and Theft in a Business Setting. She will have her preliminary hearing on August 31st.
