Milwaukee's best chefs are taking the challenge to create haute cuisine from the Mickey D menu!

It's the every man's gourmet fundraiser.

They call it McDonald's Unwrapped.

Proceeds will help feel hungry families and make sure at risk students get the educational support they need to succeed.

SHARP Literacy, Inc. SHARP Literacy, Hunger Task Force and McDonald’s are partnering to present Unwrapped.

The event will be held at Hunger Task Force on Thursday, May 18, beginning at 5:30 P.M.

Proceeds from Unwrapped will benefit SHARP, a 501(c)(3) organization that delivers a visual arts based, foundational literacy program to over 7,500 students from some of Milwaukee and Waukesha’s most at-risk elementary schools.

In addition, a portion of the ticket sales will benefit Hunger Task Force, a 501(c)(3) organization that works to prevent hunger and malnutrition by providing food to people in need today and by promoting social policies to achieve a hunger free community tomorrow.

Unwrapped will challenge area chefs, including chefs from the Bartolotta and SURG restaurant groups, to create unique dishes using McDonald’s ingredients.

This year will feature dishes like, Oatmeal Cheddar Bacon Risotto with Dehydrated Grape Tomatoes and Grilled Chicken, McGriddle Bread Pudding with Caramel Sauce and Roasted Apples, and more! Guests at Unwrapped will have the opportunity to sample all of the chefs’ offerings!
