MFD: One person shot near 56th and Melvina

One person was shot and injured near 56th and Melvina Wednesday evening.
The shooting happened around 8 p.m.
According to the Milwaukee Fire Department, the victim was taken to a local hospital. There is currently no word on their condition.
Police have not released any information on a suspect or a motive as of yet.
