Milwaukee Brewers fans will be watching Monday’s home opener from a local bar or at inside Miller Park and businesses are getting ready for big crowds.

On Milwaukee's Old World 3rd Street, fans may be grabbing and early drink. Check-in for shuttles start at 7 a.m. and bars in the area are opening early. Local bar Who’s On Third has already sold 240 tickets to their tailgate party.

“You're going to see shuttle, after shuttle, after shuttle and a lot of lines,” Manager at Who's on Third Cassandra Fry said. “It's the hype behind it. It's the first. It's that real feeling that Spring is here.

Over at Koppa's Fulbeli Deli on Milwaukee's East Side staff spent the day packing meats for a busy Easter Sunday. They expect to be just as busy for the Brewers home opener.

“Depending on the parties and everything we'll see what people need, but we're here to supply,” Deli Associate at Koppa's Fulbeli Deli Ian Tully said.

Outside Miller Park Sunday, the Johnsonville Big Taste Grill is parked and ready for Monday’s game. They'll be cooking up a storm and serving up brats starting at 10 a.m.

“At one time we can grill 750 brats. So in an hour we can have 2,500 brats grilled,” Grill master at Johnsonville Big Taste Grill Suzy Shelstad said.

Many believe, when it comes to home openers, Milwaukee fans hit it out of the ball park.

“We kill the game on opening day,” Fry said. “I don't know any other city that gets as excited as we do here because it's such a big deal for us.”
