MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Students across the country are learning about cultural pride and leadership at movie theaters this month and on Wednesday, MPS students had the chance to do the same.
Students took in a screening of the blockbuster film ‘Black Panther’ at the Marcus North Shore in Mequon.
Compassionate Personal Care Services LLC sponsored the student field trip.
Organizers say it’s important for young people to see positive superheroes they can relate to.
“It’s really colorful, really beautiful and showing the women and men how strong they are and how they really fight for their country,” said Compassion Personal Care marketing consultant, Francesca Hoskins.
Around 300 students from three Milwaukee schools were able to see the movie Wednesday.
