One killed in single car crash in Dodge County

DODGE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The driver has been identified as 56-year-old Patrick Clark from Oconomowoc.

According to the Dodge County Sheriff's Office the Mercedes slid around a curve, went into a ditch, vaulted out of that ditch and turned over landing upside down in a driveway where it started on fire.

DODGE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) – The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly crash Friday night.

The Sheriff’s Office says the one-car crash happened around 10:00 p.m. near the Town of Emmett.

Investigators believe the car was traveling eastbound on County Highway MM just west of County Highway EM, when it failed to negotiate a curve. The car then went into a ditch and hit a culvert, causing it to overturn.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, a passerby came upon the crash and tried to get the driver out but was unable to when the car started on fire. The driver of the car was later pronounced dead at the scene.  There were no passengers inside the vehicle.
