One-vehicle crash leaves 2 people seriously injured in Sheboygan County

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office was called to a one-vehicle car accident on Highway 23 near Sunset Road.

It happened around 6:15 p.m. on Friday.

According to authorities, the car was reported to be swerving on Highway 23 before it left the road, landed in a ditch, and rolled over several times before striking a deer fence.

The passenger, a 24-year-old Sheboygan man, was ejected from the vehicle.

The driver, a 23-year-old Kewaskum woman, was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by emergency personnel.

Both were taken to a local hospital by Flight for Life for treatment of severe injuries, the Sheriff's Office says. 

The accident remains under investigation.

Names are not being released at this time.
