Pick 'n Save and Metro Market launch in-store meal kits

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Twenty-five Pick ‘n Save and Metro Market stores in the Milwaukee area will now have Home Chef meal kits in stores. 

Roundy's says the stores, along with some Illinois-based Mariano's stores, are the first Kroger divisions to offer the meal kits in-store.

The company says the kits are designed to help customers with their dinner plans and offer fresh recipe ideas that don't require waiting a week for delivery. 

Home Chef recipes will change each week, mirroring their traditional meal kit delivery menu, giving Pick ‘n Save and Metro Market customers the choice of four different quick and easy meal options. Each meal kit serves two people, can be prepared in about 30 minutes and starts at $8.50 per serving. The meal kit can also be ordered online for pick-up or delivery. 

Roundy's says they plan to expand the Home Chef meal-kit offering at more of its stores over time.
