RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) – The Racine Public Library and Bookmobile on 7th Street is closing for pest control on Friday after two live bed bugs were found.

The library says they will be closed Friday, September 15. One of the bed bugs was found in the circulation area while another was found in a returned DVD.

The library says they are having the entire building inspected and will have library treated. They will reopen on Saturday, September 16 at 11 a.m.

The library is reminding the public that bed bugs are everywhere including hotels, hospitals, nursing homes, and movie theaters and are more related to traveling. Bed bugs are a nuisance, but are not dangerous.
