Rain Chances Continue Today, Ending Soon!

It feels like it has been raining for a week! Believe it or not, we are still below the average this month since we started out so slow in terms of rain. Most locations picked up between 0.25”-0.50”, cutting into the deficit this month. A few storms yesterday produced some heavier downpours and small hail in our northern counties. No severe weather though.

Rain chances will become more spotty after this morning and the threat will continue tonight. Thunderstorms chances are not expected. The storm system, which has plagued the area the last few days, finally begins to track southeast, and then east, by week’s end. This will allow for drying to take place.

If you’re wondering about the weekend, it is still looking mild. Moderate ridging moves in with temperatures getting a bump into the 70s by Friday through Memorial Day. We are not expecting rainy, gloomy days; however, a chance of showers and storms are possible each day with the heating of the day.
