Salvation Army handing out free water at State Fair

Volunteers with The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County will be pouring and handing out cups of icy cold water at the Wisconsin State Fair.

“Serving free ice cold water to fairgoers is an opportunity for us to say thank you to so many who support our year round programs and services throughout the State of Wisconsin,” said Major Steven Merritt, the Divisional Commander for The Salvation Army's Wisconsin & Upper Michigan Division.

More than 80,000 cups of water were passed out at the fair in 2016.

The water will be passed out from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM every day of the far.

The hydration station is an outdoor booth located east of the Exposition Center.
