Racine County, WIS. (CBS 58) -- Sammie Miller, 28-years-old, is now charged in connection with the death of Audrey Scott, a Milwaukee woman who went missing back in July.

Miller now faces charges of First Degree Intentional Homicide, Hiding a Corpse, and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

According to the criminal complaint, Racine Police were made aware that Scott was missing back in July. They began an investigation into her disappearance.

According to a relative of the victim, Scott went missing on the night of July 3rd. She was last seen in a tavern in Milwaukee with the defendant, Miller, who is her boyfriend. According to the relative, Miller became angry because someone else was dancing with Scott.

A relative of the defendant told police that in mid-July, a friend of Miller came and took away the defendant's guns. The relative also said she found some shoes of Miller's that were bloody and had heard rumors that he had killed Scott. On the morning of July 4th or 5th, the relative said that Miller woke her and took the car and cleaned it.

According to a friend of the defendant, Miller showed up at his house in the early morning hours of July 4th with a badly beaten Scott in the front seat.

According to the criminal complaint, the defendant then drove down the freeway and pulled over at a secluded location near Apple Holler restaurant. He took Scott into the woods and the friend of the defendant heard a shot fired.

When the friend of the defendant asked him why he did it, Miller said he did not want to go back to prison.

Detectives were able to locate the body of Scott on August 30th near Yorkville on S. Sylvania Avenue just north of County Highway KR.
