Cooler air arrives for the weekend as the pattern becomes more active.

Most of September has been above normal!  Take a look at the calendar above. 

The pattern remained rather stationary so the cold air stayed north across Canada.  Two days were in the 90s which is above normal for September.  September really feels like an extension of August; however, we are looking at a pattern shift heading into the weekend.

While the majority of the cold air will stay across Canada, a modified chunk of cooler air will flow south behind a cold front late Thursday into Friday.  Highs for Friday, Saturday, and possibly Sunday will remain in the 60s.  Our first 40 degree temperatures for Milwaukee are expected Saturday morning.

The airmass will quickly dry out with dewpoints in the 40s to near 50.  It will feel very comfortable with even colder air by the end of next week.
