Snow likely into this morning

10AM update: Snow showers and light snowfall will be possible through midday, but the heaviest snowfall is tapering off.  The totals we are receiving this morning for the last 24 hours are between 4" on the lighter end, and almost 8" in the heaviest spots.

Once the snow comes to an end, the wind will continue to pump more cold air in.  This will lead to blowing and drifting, so roads will still be tricky for driving the rest of today!

8AM update: Snow continues to hit parts of the area, but the back edge of the snow starting to creep into our western/northwestern areas.  The snow is still expected to end by the midday hours.  Blowing and drifting could be a concern with gusty winds the rest of your Sunday.  Give yourself plenty of extra time if you're thinking of traveling, especially this morning!

Widespread snow is likely for Sunday morning with everything ending from west to east by the lunchtime period. An additional inch or two of snow is possible this morning.

Expect snow-covered roads, slippery stretches, and slower travel the rest of the day. Gusty north-northwest winds will create white-out conditions and blowing/drifting will be likely.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in play for all of southeastern Wisconsin until noon today. We will have local updates throughout the morning on CBS58 and on the CBS58 website and app.
