St. Francis woman arrested for three crimes after calling police on property manager

ST. FRANCIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- St. Francis Police bring us the latest example of why you shouldn't call 911 if they are going to arrest you for a previous crime.

On Tuesday just before 4:30 p.m., a St. Francis woman called police to complain that her property manager changed the locks to her apartment and wouldn't let her enter. When police arrived the woman said everything was resolved.

As officers ran the woman's information they learned she had a warrant out for her arrest with Glendale Police for a traffic ticket. The 23-year-old was unable to post bail.

Officers also learned that the car she was waiting in when they spoke to her had a stolen license plate on it reported by Milwaukee Police.

In addition, the woman also had stolen mail including stolen prescription scripts reported through Shorewood Police.

The woman was arrested and turned over to Glendale Police. The stolen mail was reported to the US Postmaster for possible charges.
