Strong to Severe Storms Possible Overnight....Severe Thunderstorm Watch Until Midnight

A new severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Milwaukee, Waukesha, Jefferson, Racine, Kenosha, Dodge, and Walworth counties until Midnight.  These storms could contain damaging winds.

More explosive heat and humidity sits across the central plains tonight with highs in the upper 90s to 100 degrees! Around that heat ridge will be developing showers and storms that will impact our area.

Those ridge riders will track our way overnight and could produce strong to severe storms.  A frontal boundary that sits across Wisconsin will act as a focus for storms movement tonight.  Storms that erupt across northern Minnesota will track southeast.

The bulk of the storms will arrive between Midnight and 7 AM.  Storms that fire could produce gusty winds between 50 to 60 mph, locally heavy rainfall, and hail to the size of quarters.  Storms that move through could produce rain between 1" to 2", so localized flooding can't be ruled out.  All eyes will remain on Burlington and the Fox River to see if the river will rise once again.
