In 1978, at age 18, Dave Fantle and Tim Johnson made their first trip to Los Angeles for an interview with Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly. About 250 interviews followed with names that included Bob Hope, Lucille Ball, James Cagney, George Burns and Gregory Peck.
Now, a collection of 75 of Dave and Tim’s interviews will be published in a new book coming in May titled Hollywood Heyday: 75 Interviews with Golden Age Legends. The book includes a Foreword by Robert Wagner and about 60 original photos.
On CBS 58 Sunday Morning, Mike Strehlow sat down with Fantle for a sneak peek at the book that reveals new details about some of the most famous entertainers of the 20th century.
