Taste of early spring the next few days

High pressure begins to slide east and this will start the transition from a north wind to a south wind over the next three days. If you want to watch the snow melt and the temperatures climb, we have a forecast for you!

A gusty south/southwest wind will advect warmer air starting today, and the thermometer really jumps as we end the work week. Highs will near 40 degrees today. The high tomorrow will make a run at 50 degrees. We only average ONE 50 degree day in January, and tomorrow could be the FOURTH. The record for most 50 degree days in January is FIVE set back in 2002.

There’s a chance we tie that record if we can hit 50 tomorrow, and next Wednesday when another warm air mass sets up across the region. The temperatures are expected to tumble with arctic air late next week to kickoff February!
