The hot summer continues

Do you remember the start of meteorological summer?  The first several weeks of June were hammered by unseasonably cool temperatures with plenty of highs in the 60s.  This was after the 90 degree high we had in late May!

The summer fortune quickly changed late in June and into July.  There have been almost as many highs in the 80s as 70s.  The amount of 90 degree highs have been above normal for the year.

August has been a hot one.  As of today there have been 9 days above normal compared to only 3 that have fallen below normal.  The 79 on the 10th was right at normal.

There will be some cooler highs coming by the middle of this week with clouds and chances for rain!
