The One World Lantern festival will be lighting up Milwaukee's lakefront this summer

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The One World Lantern Festival is coming to Milwaukee.

The event promises to be an incredible experience that brings thousands together from all ages and backgrounds for a memorable night.

The event will feature food, music, and an awe-inspiring sight of lanterns that light up the water.

Attendees are invited to write a note along with their lantern, whether it be their hopes and dreams, a letter to a loved one, or whatever else means something to them.

The festival will take place on Saturday, June 9 from 4 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. at Veteran's Park.
